Katie plays a crucial role in supporting the firm's advisors, with responsibilities that include coordinating meetings, preparing reports, processing trades and new accounts, and managing daily client service matters.
As the first point of contact for most clients, Katie handles inquiries when they call or visit our office. She also acts as the liaison for all custodians at Way Financial Group, addressing transaction-related issues and assisting with clients' day-to-day needs.
Her duties include opening accounts, transferring assets, and addressing client requests related to their accounts. Katie also audits accounts for accuracy, and oversees the transfer process when clients move securities between custodians. She is responsible for processing and following up on security transactions, handling phone calls, and fostering strong client relationships. Katie's commitment to exceptional client service makes her an integral part of the team.
Originally from southern Kansas, Katie began her college career at Butler County Community College in Eldorado, Kansas, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree on a softball scholarship. She then went on to Kennesaw State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the Coles College of Business, also on a softball scholarship.
Katie is married to Shane Priest, and they have three children who are all active in sports. In their free time, the family can be found at gyms or ballparks, enjoying sports, church activities, and family vacations.
Katie has been a dedicated member of the Way Financial Group team since August 2006.
